Meet Mazen: I’m Mazen, Adults Librarian at Hyde Park Branch Library. At the library I help people find resources and information, give tech support when needed, and work to make the library a welcoming place where people can connect and engage. When I’m not doing that, I am learning about plants or looking for birds with my binoculars that my wife just got me. I also enjoy learning different languages. Lately, my Spanish has been getting a boost from listening to Presidenta Sheinbaum’s mañanera. Other regular boosts to my ability in various languages include the New Testament in Greek, Sait Faik in Turkish, and Rumi in Persian.
