Age Strong Office Hours

Meet one-on-one with a trained Age Strong Advocate to receive personalized support and information. As a certified SHINE counselor, help is available to explore the most cost-effective medical and prescription coverage options and determine eligibility for the Medicare Savings Program. Advocates can also assist with applications for benefits such as SNAP (formerly food stamps), LIHEAP (fuel assistance), housing, and more. Residents can also learn about citywide events, programs, and activities for older adults. If needed, referrals for legal, financial, and medical professionals, as well as protective services in cases of elder abuse, self-neglect, or financial exploitation can be made. Additionally, residents can be connected with meaningful volunteer opportunities to stay active and involved in the community.
